On the bottom of the spectrum of a Riemann surface of infinite topological type
Abstract
In this note, we shall present a sufficient condition for the positivity
of the bottom of the spectrum of a Riemann surface.
In particular, we shall show that an open Riemann surface of bounded
geometry and of finite genus has positive bottom of the spectrum.
